Panoramic cols such as the Col des Aravis, Colombière and Forclaz, with views all the way to Mont Blanc.

The area around Entremont is criss-crossed with spectacular mountain passes — cols you can climb by car, motorbike or bike, rewarded with breathtaking panoramas. For lovers of mountain roads the Aravis is a true paradise, with some of the best-known cols of the French Alps just a short distance away.
Col des Aravis
The Col des Aravis (1,486 m) links La Clusaz with the Arondine valley. At the top stands the little chapel of Sainte-Anne, and on a clear day you look straight out at Mont Blanc. It is one of the most beautiful and most accessible passes in the region.
Col de la Colombière
Right above Le Grand-Bornand winds the Col de la Colombière (1,613 m). This pass is a regular classic in the Tour de France and a favourite challenge for cyclists, with a stunning high-mountain landscape at the summit.
Col de la Forclaz
The Col de la Forclaz, high above the southern tip of the lake of Annecy, is world-famous among paragliders. From the viewpoint you can watch the colourful canopies take off and see the emerald-green lake far below you.
By car, motorbike or bike
The cols are comfortable to drive by car, but motorcyclists and cyclists also relish the winding climbs. Along the way you pass authentic hamlets and alpine meadows, with ever-changing views.
Reblochon farms along the way
Many of the mountain pastures along the passes are still used to produce Reblochon. Along the route you can stop at farms to taste and buy the artisan Savoyard cheese.
