About three quarters of an hour's drive from our chalet in Entremont lies Megève, one of the most fashionable mountain villages of the French Alps. Once developed as a chic alternative to Swiss St. Moritz, Megève combines alpine charm with allure: cobblestones, horse-drawn carriages and atmospheric boutiques.

A village with allure

Megève breathes elegance without losing its village character. In the low-traffic centre the clip-clop of horses' hooves echoes over the cobblestones, while the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop. It is a wonderful place to stroll.

The medieval centre

The heart of Megève revolves around the old village square with its church and bell tower. Among the historic facades you will find galleries, delicatessens and terraces where you can soak up the atmosphere.

Winter sports and summer fun

Megève has an extensive, varied ski area that is especially suited to families and those who like to take it easy. In summer the slopes turn into a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and golfers, with the peaks as a constant companion.

From Megève and the surrounding heights you have a beautiful view of Mont Blanc. The village lies on the route towards Chamonix and the highest mountain in the Alps, ideal to combine.
