Hiking routes from Entremont

One of the greatest assets of our chalet in Entremont is that you walk straight into the mountains from the door. The Aravis is a hiking paradise with routes for every level — from a quiet stroll through the blooming meadows to a demanding climb of the highest peaks.

Straight from the door

Entremont lies right in the middle of the hiking area, so for many routes you don't even need to take the car. From the village, paths lead into the forests and meadows, up towards the ridges of the Chaîne des Aravis.

Quiet walks through the meadows

Those who want to take it easy will find plenty of flat and gently undulating routes through the alpine meadows. From mid-June these are in full bloom, with cows everywhere whose milk is turned into Reblochon. Ideal for families and a relaxed day.

To the mountain lakes

Beautiful destinations are the crystal-clear mountain lakes, such as the Lac des Confins near La Clusaz and the higher-lying lakes in the massif. They are perfect picnic spots with mirroring water and mountain peaks in the background.

Climbing the Pointe Percée

For the experienced hiker the Pointe Percée (2,752 m), the highest point of the Aravis, is the ultimate challenge. The demanding trek is rewarded with a magnificent view over the whole region, all the way to Mont Blanc.

The Tour des Aravis

Those who want to walk for several days can take on the Tour des Aravis: a multi-day trek around the massif, with overnight stays in mountain huts. Along the way you pass passes, meadows and panoramic viewpoints.

Well prepared on the trail

Take a good hiking map or app, sturdy shoes and enough water. The weather in the mountains can change quickly, so a rain jacket is always wise. In the chalet you can relax wonderfully in the evening after a day of walking.
