Cycling & road biking in the Aravis
From legendary Tour de France cols to mountain-bike trails: the Aravis on two wheels.

The Aravis is a dream destination for cyclists of every kind. Whether you want to conquer the legendary cols of the Tour de France, ride the trails down on a mountain bike or pedal gently along the lake: from our chalet in Entremont it's all within easy reach.
Road cycling over the cols
For the road cyclist the region is a paradise. The Col de la Colombière, Col des Aravis and Col de la Forclaz are classics one and all, some famous from the Tour de France. The climbs are tough but breathtakingly beautiful.
Mountain biking on the trails
In summer the ski areas of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand turn into vast bike parks. Hundreds of kilometres of trails, from gentle routes to demanding downhills, are partly reachable by gondola.
Relaxed cycling along the lake
If you prefer to take it easy, ride the flat, car-free Voie Verte around the lake of Annecy — some forty kilometres along the water, ideal for families.
By e-bike too
Thanks to the rise of the e-bike, even the highest cols are now within reach of many more cyclists. In the villages you can easily hire an electric bike to discover the mountains without a care.
In the wheel tracks of the pros
The Aravis features regularly in the routes of the Tour de France and other cycling classics. Tackle the climbs yourself and you ride quite literally in the wheel tracks of the greats of the sport.
Cycling from the chalet
From the chalet you can set off straight into the mountains by bike. After a great ride you come home to the balcony with its view of the Aravis. Check the available dates.
